Founded in 1948 in Nagata, Kobe—the birthplace of Japan's rubber industry—Fujikoatsu began with rubber shoe production.
For over 70 years, we have been a foundational manufacturer of outsole and insole materials, supporting Japan from the ground up.

The turning point came in 1951 with the invention of "Closed-Cell Foam Rubber" in Nagata.

This revolutionary technology, combining lightness, waterproofing, and cushioning, expanded the possibilities of rubber and led to the birth of the globally beloved flip-flop.

Today, this innovation remains the beating heart of our craftsmanship.
