Since 1948, our parent company, Fujikoatsu, has spent over 75 years refining this "Closed-Cell" technology. In 2020, I launched Fujikoatsu Products to revive this proud "Made in Japan" legacy with modern sensibilities and carry it forward into the next generation.

Today, our challenge moves forward along two main pillars:

The first is our original brand, buntA. Traditional Japanese footwear like "waraji" and "zouri" naturally encourage walking while engaging the toes—a unique cultural gait that helps form the foot’s natural arch and promotes whole-body health through muscle chain reaction. To bring this walking culture back to modern life, we successfully developed "Marshmallow®" rubber, which uniquely balances the opposing functions of shock absorption and high rebound.

This was the starting point of buntA. While we began with footwear (hakimono), we have now expanded into lifestyle mats (shikimono) and creative goods (tsukurimono), sending products across the globe that spark health and smiles through the endless possibilities of rubber.

Our second pillar is "Material Supply & Co-Creation" with our partners. I am convinced that our integrated know-how—from material development to final assembly—is a powerful engine for creating value in any field. Because we are a one-of-a-kind facility that handles everything in-house, we can stand closely by our partners from the very first spark of an idea. Designing the material itself to realize someone’s dream: this is exactly what we believe "modern craftsmanship" should look like.

The potential of rubber is constantly evolving. Every trial and error becomes the lifeblood of Fujikoatsu Products, and the insights we gain lead us to new collaborations. We will continue to cherish unique ideas, refine our skills with joy, and contribute to the future of Japanese manufacturing by delivering the safe, reliable rubber that the world needs in every era.
